Synopsis

One moment, Arnina was walking along a peaceful beach; the next, she was shivering in the dark, abducted and transported across the stars in a crate. She wakes up to a living nightmare: she is the newest exhibit in an alien zoo on a distant moon.

To her captors, the Norratar, she is a “hoomon”—a bipedal predator believed to be non-sentient. Her only link to survival is her keeper, Makrus Aura Fironus, the powerful heir to a galactic conglomerate who is hiding his own secrets. As Arnina fights to prove her intelligence and secure her freedom, an accidental “mating bite” triggers a primal awakening. Makrus’s osae—a symbiotic, sentient bond—chooses her, turning a captive into a fated mate and sparking a revolution that could topple an empire.
